Step 1: Scrape Off Excess Toothpaste

To start, you'll need to scrape off any excess toothpaste from surface of your denim. You can use either an old soft-bristle toothbrush or a cotton swab for this step. The goal is to remove as much of the paste as possible without rubbing it into the fabric further.

Step 2: Soak in Warm Water and Mild Detergent

Once the excess paste has been removed, you're ready to soak the stained area in some warm water and mild detergent. Give the fabric a few minutes of soaking time and then begin gently scrubbing the stain with a soft brush or cloth. Be gentle when scrubbing, as vigorous scrubbing could damage the fabric.

Step 3: Rinse and Repeat

After scrubbing, rinse the fabric with cold water and repeat the previous two steps until the stain is gone. Don't forget to check the area frequently to make sure that the stain hasn't set.

Step 4: Wash and Dry

Once the stain is gone, you'll want to throw your denim in the washing machine. Make sure to wash on a gentle cycle and use a mild detergent. When you're finished, hang dry the garment in a well-ventilated area. Never put denim in dryer as this could cause the fabric to shrink.
