Step 1: Make a Paste

The first thing you need to do is create a paste made up of equal parts baking soda and water. The baking soda will help break down the toothpaste stains so they’re easier to deal with. Simply mix the ingredients together until you achieve a paste-like consistency.

Step 2: Apply the Paste

Once you’ve created paste, take a damp cloth and apply the mixture to the stained area. Work the paste into the fabric using circular motions, but don’t scrub too hard as this may cause the fabric to become damaged. Let the paste sit for 15-20 minutes before proceeding.

Step 3: Rinse & Wash

After the paste has had time to work its magic, rinse off fabric as much as possible. Then, toss the coveralls in the washing machine with your normal detergent. Depending on the severity of the stain, you may need to wash the garment several times to completely remove the toothpaste.
