The best way to remove stains created by toothpaste from cotton fabrics is to first rinse the stained fabric in cold water. This will help dissolve the toothpaste and reduce the size of the stain. Next, make a paste by mixing ½ teaspoon of detergent with ½ teaspoon of baking soda. Rub a small amount of this paste into the stained area on the garment. Then allow the paste to set for about 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, use a soft scrub brush or an old toothbrush to lightly scrub the stained area of the fabric. Rinse the fabric thoroughly with cold water and then wash it as usual with mild detergent. Hang your garment up to dry and check the stained area. If the stain is still visible, repeat the steps above until stain has been removed.

If the stain persists even after multiple attempts, it's always a good idea to take your garment to a professional cleaner or dry cleaner. They may be able to use harsher chemical cleaners or more effective stain-removal techniques that you may not have access to at home.

By following the steps above, you'll be able to safely and effectively remove toothpaste stains from cotton piqué clothing. And you'll be able to keep wearing your favorite garments without those pesky stains.
