Nobody wants to have their coat stained with toothpaste due to an unfortunate accident. Fortunately, with the help of a few simple steps, you can easily get rid of the toothpaste stains and make your coat as good as new.
First, pre-treat the stain with a laundry detergent like Tide or Cheer. Pour a bit of laundry detergent directly onto stained area and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Gently rub detergent into fabric using your fingers. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you might need to repeat this process a few times.
Once you've pre-treated the stain, you can wash the coat in a gentle cycle in a washing machine. Be sure to adjust the water temperature so that it's suitable for the fabric of the coat. Use a gentle detergent (free from bleach and fabric softener) and you can also add a color-safe stain remover for added efficiency.
When the washing cycle is done, hang coat up and let it air dry. Don't put it in the dryer as it may cause further damage to the fabric. Once it's completely dry, you should inspect it if stain got completely removed. If not, repeat Step 1 followed by Step 2.
Cleaning toothpaste stains from the coat isn't difficult. Just pre-treat the stain with laundry detergent, wash the coat, and air dry it. If the stain persists, repeat Steps 1 and 2 until it is completely removed.
