What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Clean cloths
- Bowl
- Laundry detergent
Steps To Cleaning
- Carefully scrape away any excess toothpaste from the bag with a spoon or a butter knife. Try not to press too hard and make sure not to damage the material of your bag.
- Mix together ½ cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of cold water in the bowl.
- Once mixed, dampen one of the clean cloths with this mixture and gently blot the stained area, trying not to spread the toothpaste beyond the boundaries of the stain.
- Once the stain is removed, rinse the bag with a wet cloth. Make sure to rinse away all of the vinegar and water residue.
- Once all residue is removed, apply a few drops of laundry detergent to the cloth and gently scrub the area that was stained. Be sure to evenly disperse the detergent and work it into the fabric.
- Once complete, rinse away the detergent with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Your Coach bag should be good as new!
Additional Tips
- Always avoid using excessive force when cleaning.
- When blotting, use an up and down motion rather than a scrubbing motion.
- Be sure to test any cleaner you may use on a hidden area of the bag first, to make sure no discoloration occurs.
