Method 1: Using Baking Soda and Vinegar

  1. Create a paste by mixing two parts baking soda with one part white vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Dip an old toothbrush or rag into the paste, then gently scrub the paste onto the stain.
  3. Stay scrubbing until the stain has begun to fade, then rinse with cool water.
  4. Once all paste has been removed, lay the canvas item flat on a tarp or other waterproof surface, and let dry for about an hour.

Method 2: Washing with Dish Soap and Water

  1. Mix one part laundry detergent with five parts cold water in a bowl.
  2. Dip an old toothbrush or cloth into the solution, then gently scrub the solution onto the stain.
  3. Continue scrubbing until the stain has begun to fade, then rinse with cool water.
  4. Once the cleaning solution has been removed, lay the canvas item flat on a tarp or other waterproof surface, and let dry for about an hour.
