Have your favourite calico shirt become the victim of a toothpaste stain? Don't worry! This efficient and easy guide will help you get rid of that unpleasant trace in 3 simple steps. All you need is some simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry.

Step 1: Cleaning with Baking Soda

The first step of cleaning any stain is to enable the enzymatic action of baking soda. To do this, sprinkle a spoonful of baking soda on the affected area, let it sit for 5 minutes, and rub it over the stain. This will loosen the stain and make the fibres absorbent.

Step 2: Removing the Stain with Peroxide

After fibres are ready to receive the treatment, pour on some hydrogen peroxide on stain. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then use a clean cloth to dab away the peroxide and the stain. If stain seems to still be there, repeat process until it's gone.

Step 3: Finishing with Detergent

The last step of the process is to finish the cleaning with a mild detergent. Before applying the detergent, make sure to rinse off the peroxide from the fabric. Apply detergent with a sponge and rub it gently over the area. Then, wash the item as usual in cold water with rest of your laundry.

With this simple 3-step trick, you can get rid of those unsightly toothpaste stains in no time! So the next time you need to clean your calico, take it easy - you got this covered!
