Toothpaste stains can be a real challenge to remove from fabrics like brocades. So how do you get those stubborn stains out? First you need to know what type of fabric it is that you’re working with – as this will determine the kind of cleaning method you should use. If your fabric is a natural fibre then you should use a mild detergent and cool water to start. If your fabric is a synthetic one then you can use a specialty stain remover or a gentle dishwashing liquid.

Once you have determined the fabric type, begin by gently brushing away any leftover toothpaste and debris with a clean cloth. Then soak a clean cloth with your chosen cleaning product and blot the stained area. For best results, it is recommended that you test any stain removers, detergents or soaps in an inconspicuous area of the fabric first, to ensure that it won’t damage the material.

Continue blotting the stain with the damp cloth and cleaning product, adding more solution if necessary, until the toothpaste is removed. Finally, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water to remove all traces of the cleaning product. Air dry the fabric completely before using it again.

With these easy steps, you can quickly and effectively remove toothpaste stains from your brocade fabrics. So don’t fret and get cleaning!
