No matter how careful you are, sometimes toothpaste stains find their way onto your boots. And we can all agree that having toothpaste stains on our favorite pair of boots is very frustrating.
But, if you take the time to clean the stains promptly, you should be able to restore your boot’s original look. Keep reading for some easy tips on how to clean toothpaste stains from boots.
When you discover the stain, the first step is to remove as much toothpaste as possible. Make sure you do this carefully, so you don’t spread the toothpaste further.
If you’re cleaning leather boots, use a damp cloth to gently wipe the area. However, if your boots are made of suede, you should use a soft-bristled brush instead.
The next step is to wash the stain with soap and water. Don’t use any harsh detergents or abrasive cleaning agents, as they could damage your boots.
Mix some mild soap with warm water and lightly rub the stained area. If the stain remains after washing with soap, you can try using a small amount of ammonia.
Once you’ve washed the stain with soap and water or ammonia, it’s time to rinse the area. Use lukewarm water to rinse the area completely after washing and make sure to dab dry.
If you own leather boots, you should apply a good quality leather conditioner afterwards. This will help to restore and protect leather, while keeping it looking newer for longer.
If your boots are made of suede, you should use a suede protector spray instead.
Once you’ve finished cleaning, let the boots dry completely before wearing them again. Otherwise, you may end up with more toothpaste stains on your boots.
We hope that these tips help you keep your boots looking as good as new.
