Step 1: Act Quickly

When toothpaste stains hit your belt, act quickly. Rinse away the excess paste with cold water and blot it with a clean cloth. If the paste is fresh, this should be enough to remove it. If it’s dried, move on to next step.

Step 2: Removing Dried Paste

If the paste is dried, use a soft-bristled brush and warm water to work the paste out of the fabric. Be sure to brush the area gently so that you don’t damage the belt.

Step 3: Handwashing

Once you’ve brushed away paste, handwash the belt in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Use a cloth or sponge to rub the stained area gently as you rinse it in the soapy water.

Step 4: Air-Drying

After you’ve washed the belt, hang it in a warm and dry place to air-dry. Avoid using a dryer or direct heat, as it could damage the belt. Once dry, inspect belt to see if there are still traces of the stain. If so, repeat the process until the stain is completely gone.
