Eliminate Toothpaste Stains from Barrettes In Five Easy Steps
If your favorite barrette has been tarnished with toothpaste stains, fear not! We’ll provide an easy step-by-step guide to cleaning it and restoring its shine.

Begin by rinsing your barrette in lukewarm water. Do not use hot water, as this can cause further damage to the metal.
Once the barrette has been rinsed, blot it dry with a clean, soft cloth.
Combine a small amount of baking soda with a few drops of vinegar. Create a paste and mix it together until it is a thick consistency. Apply the paste directly onto toothpaste stain and allow it to sit for a few minutes.
Rinse barrette with lukewarm water to remove the paste. If any of toothpaste residue remains, use a soft-bristle toothbrush to lightly scrub the area. Be sure to scrub softly, so as to not damage the barrette.
Finally, pat the barrette dry with a clean cloth and apply a layer of jewelry polish to restore the shine.
