The first thing you should do is try to remove as much of the toothpaste as possible by blotting the stain with a clean cloth. You can also use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the excess toothpaste. Once you have removed as much of the toothpaste as you can, it’s time to tackle the stain with a cleaning solution.

One of the best solutions for removing toothpaste stains from rugs is a mixture of white vinegar and warm water. Simply mix one part white vinegar with two parts warm water and apply it to the stained area with a brush or cloth. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then blot the stain with a clean cloth. You may need to repeat this process a few times before the stain is completely gone.

If the stain persists, you can also use a commercial carpet cleaner. There are many brands of carpet cleaner available, so make sure to read the directions carefully. Also, keep in mind that some carpet cleaners can cause damage to certain types of rugs, so always test them in an inconspicuous area first.

Finally, be sure to rinse the rug thoroughly when you are done, as residual soap can attract dirt and cause further staining. Once you’re done, your rug should be good as new!
