Step 1: Gather Supplies

Before you start, make sure you have all supplies you'll need. You'll need laundry detergent, water, a white cloth, and an old toothbrush.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Start by pre-treating the stain with laundry detergent. Make sure you use a detergent that is designed for colorfast materials and follow the instructions on the bottle. Once the detergent has been applied, let it sit for at least 10 minutes.

Step 3: Rinse and Scrub

After the detergent has had time to work its magic, rinse the stain with cold water. Then, use the old toothbrush to gently scrub the stain. Be sure to be gentle as not to cause damage to the fabric.

Step 4: Soak and Wash

Next, soak the stained area in a sink or bowl filled with cold water. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes. After soaking, place the clothing in the washing machine and wash with your normal detergent.

Step 5: Dry and Repeat

After washing, place clothing in the dryer and dry on low heat. If the stain is still there, repeat steps 1 through 5 until the stain is gone.
