Step 1: Act Quickly

The quicker you address the stain, the better chance you have of removing it. Once the tomato residue sets in, it can be much more difficult to get out. So Blot away excess tomato sauce with a paper towel if you can.

Step 2: Prepare Your Workstation

Before you start working on the stain, it's important to set up a workstation that is equipped with everything you need. You will need a clean cloth, lukewarm water, dish soap, white vinegar, and a scrub brush.

Step 3: Pre-treating the Stain

To pre-treat the stain, combine equal parts water and white vinegar in a bowl. Then, take a clean cloth, dip it into the solution, and press it onto the stain. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse fabric with lukewarm water.

Step 4: Scrubbing the Fabric

Now that the pre-treatment is done, it's time to take your scrub brush and dip it in a mixture of dish soap and lukewarm water. Then, gently scrub the stained area with the brush. Make sure not to scrub too hard, as this could damage fabric. After scrubbing, rinse off the soap with lukewarm water.

Step 5: Drying the Fabric

Once you are finished scrubbing, it's time to dry the fabric. To do this, lay fabric flat on a clean surface. Then, use a towel or paper towel to blot away any excess moisture. When the fabric is dry, your wrap dress should look good as new.
