If the tomato stain is still fresh, use a damp cloth or paper towel to blot the area and remove excess tomato juice. Do not rub the area, as this could spread the stain. Rinse the area with cold water to gently remove any remaining residue. Once the area is rinsed, you can use a small amount of mild detergent to gently scrub the area.
If the tomato stain is already set-in and dry, you will need to combine a few ingredients to create a cleaning solution that will help break down the stain. First, mix one part white vinegar with two parts water in a spray bottle. Next, add a teaspoon of dish soap to the mixture and shake well to combine. Spray mixture lightly onto the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, use a damp cloth or paper towel to gently scrub the area. Rinse the area with cold water, then let it air-dry.
To reduce the chances of getting tomato stains on UGG, you may want to apply a protective coating such as a waterproofing spray or suede protector. This will help to repel liquids such as tomato juice and prevent staining. Additionally, if you know you will be eating foods that can cause staining, be sure to wear clothing that covers your UGG boots.
