  • A small bowl
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda
  • Liquid detergent
  • Water
  • Soft toothbrush/nail brush/toothpick

Steps for Cleaning Tomato Stains from Sweatpants

  1. Put a half cup of white vinegar into the bowl and fill it up with 1 cup of warm water. Dip the stain into mixture, making sure to saturate it completely.
  2. Take a few spoonfuls of baking soda and mix it into the wet area of the sweatpants. Make sure it's evenly distributed and let it sit for at least an hour.
  3. After the baking soda has had time to work its magic, take a soft toothbrush, nail brush, or toothpick to gently scrub at stained area of the sweatpants. Be sure to do this slowly and gently - you don't want to damage the fabric!
  4. Rinse the area off with warm water and then run it through the washing machine with a liquid detergent. Let it air-dry afterwards.
