Tomato stains work quickly, so make sure to act as soon as possible after stains occur. The quicker you address it, the better the chances of removing the stain easily.
In many cases, combination of detergent and hot water will effectively remove the stain. Do not use chlorine bleach as it can damage the fabric. Simply create a soapy mixture with liquid laundry detergent and hot water, then soak the stained area in it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse the sleepwear with cold water afterwards.
Club soda is an effective way to eliminate tomato sauce stains. Pour club soda directly onto the affected area and rub it in gently with a cloth. Be sure to rinse sleepwear afterwards.
Stain removers specifically designed for removing tomato stains can also be used. Whatever product you choose, follow the instructions carefully for best results. Additionally, some products may require you to pre-treat the garment by soaking it in a solution of lukewarm water and laundry detergent.
If the stain remains after the first try, don’t be discouraged. Keep repeating the steps above until it’s gone. But remember, the quicker you act, the more likely you’ll be successful in removing stain.
