Steps to Clean Tomato Stains

Start by washing the pot or pan with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive scrubber. Make sure to clean any other surface areas that may have come in contact with the tomato as well. If there are any remaining stains, try scrubbing them off with a mild abrasive cleaner.

Fill the pot or pan with just enough water to cover the stained area and add one cup of white vinegar. Let it soak for 2-4 hours. Remove the pot or pan from the soak and scrub stains gently with a non-abrasive brush.

If the stain is still visible, try adding 1/4 cup of baking soda to the mix. This will help lift away the remaining tomato stains, making your pot or pan look good as new.

Finally, rinse with warm water and dry completely with a towel.
