1. Blot with a damp cloth. Begin by blotting the stained area with a damp cloth or paper towel. The moisture will help lift the stain from the fabric surface.

2. Apply a gentle cleaner. Sprinkle baking soda or a gentle detergent onto the stain and then use a clean cloth or brush to work it into the fabric. Allow the cleaner to sit for a few minutes before rinsing away with warm water.

3. Apply hydrogen peroxide. Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. Blot away with a damp cloth.

4. Wash in hot soapy water. After treating the stain, wash the fabric in a sink or washing machine with hot water and a gentle detergent according to the instructions on the tag.

5. Dry in the sun. Hang the fabric in direct sunlight or place in dryer set to the low heat setting.
