Before doing anything, it's important to quickly blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel to get rid of any excess liquid. This will make the stain easier to address and lessen the chances of it becoming more stubborn.
Mix equal parts cold water and white vinegar in a cup, stir it until mixture is fairly homogeneous, then pour it into a spray bottle.
Spray this mixture directly onto the tomato stain several times until it is soaked through. Allow the mixture to sit for 5-10 minutes so that it can do its job.
Take a cloth or sponge and rub stained area gently but firmly in a circular motion. You should see stain start to disappear.
After you've finished rubbing stain, run the stained area under cold water until the water runs clear. Inspect stain and repeat any of the above steps if necessary.
Finally, take a clean cloth and gently pat the area dry. Once it has dried completely, your cloth should be as good as new!
