Step 1: Blot Stain

Begin by taking a clean towel and gently blotting the stain. Don't scrub or press too hard, you don't want to drive the stain deeper into the mule fabric. Instead of pressing down, dab the fabric gently with the towel. This will absorb the tomato juice from the surface of the mule.

Step 2: Pre-Treat with Detergent

Mix a teaspoon of laundry detergent with a cup of cold water and apply it directly to the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it with a clean cloth.

Step 3: Wash with Cold Water

Once you have pre-treated the stain, fill a basin with cold water and add a small amount of laundry detergent. Submerge the mule and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. After that, rinse the mule with clean water.

Step 4: Hang to Dry

Once you have washed the mule, squeeze out the remaining water by pressing the fabric gently between two towels. Hang mule up in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry.
