Start by removing as much of the excess tomato from jumper as possible. If the stain is wet, blot it with a paper towel or cloth. Be careful not to rub too hard, as this could cause the stain to spread.
Once the excess is removed, dilute white vinegar in water at a ratio of 1:1. Dip a clean cloth into this solution and dab the stained area. Afterward, let the area air dry.
If the stain remains, create a mixture of equal parts liquid detergent and warm water and use it to saturate the affected area. Allow the garment to sit with the mixture for 30-minutes before rinsing with cold water.
To treat any remaining residue, combine 3-parts baking soda and 1-part water to create a paste. Gently rub the paste over the stain and let sit for 20-minutes before washing it in the washing machine as you usually would.
Follow these easy steps, and you'll be able to quickly and easily remove tomato stains from your favorite jumper!
