Tomatoes are notorious for leaving behind stubborn stains on clothing, fabrics and even headbands! If you’ve got a tomato stain on your headband, don’t worry – we have some easy tips and tricks to help you get rid of it quickly and easily. Here’s what you need to know:

What You'll Need

  • Dish soap
  • Vinegar
  • Borax
  • Old toothbrush

Step 1: Soak the Headband in Dish Soap

The first thing you should do is soak the headband in a sink or bucket full of warm water and dish soap. Let it soak for about 10 minutes to give soap time to get to work breaking down the stain.

Step 2: Scrub with a Toothbrush

After the headband has soaked in the dish soap, take an old toothbrush and gently scrub the stained area. This will give soap a chance to really work its way into the fabric and help loosen up the stain.

Step 3: Rinse with White Vinegar

Once the stain is gone, rinse the headband with white vinegar. This will help neutralize the soap residue and keep the fabric soft. You can also add ½ cup of borax to the vinegar-water solution for extra cleaning power.

Let headband dry completely before using it again, and you’re all set! With just a few simple steps, you can have a clean and stain-free headband without any fuss.
