The first step to successfully removing the stain is to act quickly. As soon as the spill happens, take a clean cloth and blot up as much of it as possible. This will help prevent the tomato juice from penetrating further into the fabric and making the stain even harder to remove.
Pretreat the stain with a laundry prewash spray. Follow the directions on the container and spray the area heavily. Allow the prewash to sit for a few minutes before continuing with the stain removal process.
Once prewash has had a chance to set, add the Habutai fabric to the washing machine along with a mild detergent. You shouldn't use a harsh detergent or bleach, as these can damage fabric and make the stain worse. Wash fabric in warm or hot water depending on the stain, and then check it to see if the stain has been removed.
After washing, check the fabric again to make sure the stain has been completely removed. If it has, dry fabric in the dryer on a low setting. If not, repeat steps until stain has been removed.
