Step 1 - Scrape the Stain Immediately at Room Temperature

Scrape off as much of the tomato sauce as you can with a plastic knife. Take care not to apply too much pressure or you could damage the surface of your Gucci item.

Step 2 - Create a Cleaning Solution

Mix together a solution of equal parts mild dish soap and lukewarm water. You want to make sure that it is not too hot because this could cause the Gucci item to shrink or become misshaped.

Step 3 - Apply the Cleaning Solution

Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the cleaning solution and apply it to the tomato stained area. Gently work it in circles and allow it to sit on the stain for 10 minutes.

Step 4 - Rinse the Stained Area

Rinse the area with cold water using same cloth or sponge. Then pat the area dry with a clean paper towel.

Step 5 - Treat the Stain with a Stain Remover

If the stain still remains, apply a small amount of a stain remover specifically made for removing grease stains and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. After this time has elapsed, blot the area with a clean paper towel and rinse the area with cold water.

Step 6 - Air Dry the Stained Area

Once the tomato stain has been completely removed, leave area to dry overnight. Do not attempt to use a blow dryer or other heat source to try and speed up the drying process.
