This helps to prevent the stain from setting further into the fabric. Next, rub some liquid dish soap into the affected area, being sure to pay extra attention to any greasy spots. Finally, let the soap sit on the stain for up to ten minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.

Using Vinegar and Baking Soda

If the stain still won’t budge after following the above steps, you can try using a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. First, create a paste by combining equal parts vinegar and baking soda. Use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the paste into the stained area. Allow the paste to sit for 30-60 minutes before rinsing it away with cold water. If the stain has still not been removed, you can also try soaking area in a solution of one quart of warm water mixed with ¼ cup of laundry detergent for about 15 minutes.

Using Commercial Stain Removers
