Before attempting to remove the stain from your chinos, you'll need a few supplies. Gather together some liquid detergent, lukewarm water, white vinegar, and a bleach alternative. Additionally, you'll need a soft cloth for blotting.

Step 1: Pre-treat the Stain with Detergent

Mix the detergent in a bowl of lukewarm water, then dip the soft cloth in mixture. Blot at the stain until it starts to fade.

Step 2: Rinse with Vinegar

Rinse area with white vinegar and lukewarm water. The vinegar should help to lift the stain from fabric.

Step 3: Wash According to Care Instructions

Once the stain has been pre-treated and rinsed, it's time to wash garment. Be sure to check the care instructions on the chinos and follow them exactly, using a gentle detergent and the lowest possible temperature setting.

Step 4: Rinse Again

Rinse the garment once more, this time using a bleach alternative. This will help to brighten the fabric and remove any remaining tomato stains.

Step 5: Air Dry

Once the garment has been washed and rinsed, it's important to air dry it rather than using a dryer. Heat can set the stain and make it harder to remove.

By following these steps, you can successfully remove tomato stains from chinos. While the stain may not come out completely on first try, be patient and keep trying until you've achieved the desired result!
