Using a paper towel or a clean cloth, blot the stain. Don't rub it as this will only spread the stain.
Mix 1 teaspoon of mild dish detergent with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Dip a white cloth into the mixture and then apply to the stain. Blot the stain and continue to do so until you no longer see the stain.
After applying detergent, spray the stain with white vinegar. The acidity of the vinegar will help to break down the tomato stain.
Purchase a commercial stain remover, such as Shout or OxiClean, and pre-treat your chiffon georgette material. Follow the instructions on the bottle and apply the stain remover directly to the stain.
Mix 1 tablespoon of mild dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of warm water in a bowl. Dip a white cloth into the mixture and then apply to the stain. Blot the stain with the cloth and continue to do so until you no longer see the stain.
Finally, launder the item in a washing machine according to the instructions on the tag. If the stain is still visible, rewash item using a fabric-safe bleach.
Cleaning tomato stains from chiffon georgette can be tricky. But with the above steps, you should be able to get your garment looking good as new again. Following these steps carefully is the key to success.
