Start by rinsing stained area with cold water as soon as possible. This will remove any excess tomato juice, making it easier to treat the stain more effectively.
In a small bowl, mix together one part liquid dish soap with two parts hydrogen peroxide. Once mixed, apply the solution directly to the stain using a toothbrush or clean cloth.
Let solution soak into the stain for 10 minutes. After that, rinse the area thoroughly with cold water. Repeat the process if necessary until the tomato stain is completely gone.
Once you are satisfied with the results, launder your chambray shirt as normal. You can also add a small amount of oxygenated bleach like OxiClean to the wash cycle to help remove stubborn stains.
Removing tomato stains from chambray is a simple process, as long as you act quickly. All you need is some liquid dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, and a bit of patience. Follow steps above and your chambray will be good as new in no time!
