Step 1: Blot with a Damp Towel

Take a damp towel and carefully dab at tomato stain. Don't rub it in too much, though – you just want to blot away excess moisture. Let the towel sit on the area for a few minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stain

Use a pre-treatment spray or liquid detergent to pre-treat the tomato stain. Spray stain, let it sit for a few minutes, and then gently agitate fabric with your fingers. This will help loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Soak in Cold Water

Fill a bucket or sink with cold water and soak the belt for at least 15 minutes. This will help loosen up the tomato stain and make it easier to lift out.

Step 4: Clean with Detergent

Take the belt out of water and apply some detergent directly to the stain. Use a soft-bristled brush to scrub the area in a circular motion until the stain is gone. Rinse area with water and repeat if necessary.

Step 5: Allow to Air Dry

Once the tomato stain has been removed, hang the belt up to air dry. Do not put it in a dryer, as this could damage the fabric.

With a few simple steps, you now know how to clean tomato stains from belts and make them look like new again!
