Start by blotting any excess tomato juice or other liquid from the alpaca. Use a dry, clean cotton cloth such as an old t-shirt or handkerchief and press firmly down on fabric without rubbing. This will help draw out some of tomato stain from the fabric.
Create a vinegar solution using one cup cold water mixed with a half cup white vinegar. Saturate the stained area in the solution and let it sit for five minutes. After, blot fabric again with a dry cloth.
Mix a paste from a quarter cup of baking soda with a few tablespoons of cold water. Spread the paste over tomato stain and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Once finished, rinse the area with cold water and blot away the moisture.
If the stain still persists, use laundry detergent as a final option. Create a solution with a teaspoon of laundry detergent and a cup of cold water and then apply it to the affected area. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water and blot away any excess moisture.
Removing stubborn tomato stains from alpaca doesn't have to be a hassle. Follow these steps and you can guarantee the stain won't stick around. Good luck!
