What You'll Need

  • 1 teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Clean cloths

Instructions

  1. Start by removing as much of the tomato as possible by blotting it with a dry cloth.
  2. Mix one teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent with three cups of cold water and stir until mixed.
  3. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and use it to blot the stain, being careful not to rub the fabric.
  4. Place the item of clothing on a flat surface and pour some white vinegar directly onto the stain. Allow it to penetrate fabric for a few moments.
  5. Blot the stain with a clean cloth until it is removed.
  6. Rinse the item of clothing with cold water, and then allow it to air dry.

Tips

  • If the stain persists, repeat the process until it is completely gone.
  • Always test detergent and vinegar on a hidden part of the garment first, such as the inside seam.
  • Let the garment air dry naturally.
