Step 1: Remove Excess Sauce with a Paper Towel

The first step in tackling a tomato stain is to remove as much of the sauce as possible. To do this, take a paper towel and blot area where the stain is located. This will help to lift the excess sauce from the material.

Step 2: Use a Clean Cloth and Water

Once the excess sauce has been blotted away, dampen a clean cloth with some cool water. Gently dab the fabric or leather until the stain has been removed. If stain is particularly deep, use a few drops of mild detergent to help lift it.

Step 3: Let Air Dry

Once you've removed the stain, make sure you let the item air dry. Using a hairdryer or other form of heat can damage the fabric or leather, so it's important to avoid this.
