Tomato stains can be difficult to remove from fabric, but they’re not impossible! With the right cleaning technique, you can get those tough tomato stains out of your abaya in no time. Here are some tips for removing tomato stains from an abaya.

Step 1: Blot Stain with a Damp Cloth

The first step is to blot the stain with a damp cloth. Don't rub or scrub the stain as this can make it worse. Blotting absorbs liquid and helps loosen the tomato stain from the fabric.

Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain with a Commercial Stain Remover

Once you have blotted away the excess liquid, pre-treat the stain with a commercial stain remover. This will help break down the stain and make it easier to remove. Let the remover sit on stain for 10-15 minutes before washing.

Step 3: Wash Abaya

Once you have pre-treated the stain, you can go ahead and wash the abaya. Use warm water and a mild detergent. If the stain is still visible, you may need to soak abaya overnight before washing. To do this, fill a bowl or sink with warm water and add a few tablespoons of mild detergent. Submerge the abaya and let it soak overnight.

Step 4: Air Dry the Abaya

After washing abaya, lay it flat to air dry. Never put a stained abaya in the dryer as this can set the stain and make it impossible to remove. Instead, lay abaya out flat on a towel to air dry.

With these steps, you should be able to successfully remove tomato stains from your abaya. Just remember to always be gentle and never scrub or rub the stain. Following these easy steps will help keep your abaya looking like new!
