Before tackling tomato sauce stains on windows, you should make sure you have the right supplies at hand. Gather following: a clean cloth, vinegar, dish soap, glass cleaner, newspaper or paper towels.
Once you have gathered the necessary supplies, you should prepare the area around stain. Use newspaper or paper towels to cover any nearby walls, furniture, or carpets, ensuring that no cleaning solution drips onto them. Then, wet the cloth in warm water and gently wipe stained area to remove any excess food.
In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup of white vinegar, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and 2 cups of warm water. Mix the ingredients until a sudsy solution is formed. The dish soap helps to break down the proteins in the tomato sauce, making it easier to remove the stain.
Dip the cloth into the cleaning solution and gently rub the stained area in circular motions. Make sure to not use too much pressure or too abrasive materials as this could damage the window.
When the stain has been completely removed, rinse the window with warm water and dry it with a clean cloth. If the stain is still visible, apply glass cleaner to the stained area and wipe it off with a clean cloth.
