Step 1: Scrape off Any Visible Tomato Sauce

Begin by using the edge of a spoon or dull knife to scrape off any visible tomato sauce. Make sure to remove as much of it as possible.

Step 2: Blot the Stain Away

Once you’ve scraped away the sauce, take a damp cloth and gently blot the area to moisten it. Don’t rub or scrub the fabric as this may cause it to discolour or become damaged.

Step 3: Make a Cleaning Solution

Mix one teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent with one cup of warm water in a bowl. Dip the cloth into the bowl and squeeze out the excess liquid.

Step 4: Clean Stain

Gently dab the fabric with the cleaning solution until the stain is removed. Don’t rub the fabric as this could spread the stain further and damage the material.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

Once the stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water and a clean cloth. Then, lay the tunic flat in the sun to dry naturally.
