berry It's not uncommon to enjoy a meal that includes that delicious red sauce. Unfortunately, it can be dripped and splattered onto ties. Accidents happen, so don't panic or feel embarrassed if you're ever in this situation. Instead, try out some of these easy steps to get rid of tomato sauce stains on your ties.

Steps to Clean Tomato Sauce Stains off Ties

  • Check the label first. Some ties may require specialized care, such as dry cleaning only. If the tie doesn't specify, you can proceed with spot cleaning.
  • Blot the stained portion of the tie with a clean cloth, paper towel, or cotton swab. Do not rub, as this will spread the stain. Instead, firmly press and move the cloth in circles over spot.
  • Mix warm water with detergent (not bleach) and use a sponge to dab the stained area. Be careful not to get the fabric too wet, as this could cause additional staining.
  • Rinse tie in cold water, and repeat the above steps until stain is completely gone.
  • Let the tie air dry, or you can use a fan or hair dryer on low heat to speed up the process.
No matter how hard you try to prevent them, tomato sauce stains can still find their way onto your beloved ties. By using these tips, you'll be able to quickly and easily remove tomato sauce stains without ruining fabric.
