1. Gather Supplies

Before you start tackling the stain, assemble the supplies you need for this job:

  • Chlorine bleach
  • Cleaning sponge
  • Mild dish soap (without degreasers)
  • White vinegar
  • Clean towel

2. Blot the Stain

Once you have gathered the supplies, use a clean towel to blot away as much of the sauce as possible.

3. Dilute Bleach and Clean Routinely

Mix one tablespoon of bleach with two gallons of cold water. Dip your cleaning sponge into this solution and then gently rub at the stain. Rinse Teneriffe lace with cold water after every application.

4. Apply Detergent if Necessary

If the bleach does not seem to do the trick, mix a small amount of mild dish soap into the bleach-water solution and try again. This should ensure that all of the grease is removed. After each application of detergent, rinse thoroughly with cold water.

5. Use White Vinegar

If you are still having difficulty removing the tomato sauce stains, try using white vinegar. Soak the spot with vinegar and let it sit for 30 minutes before blotting it with a clean towel. Repeat this process until the stain is completely gone.

6. Rinse and Air Dry

Finally, rinse the area with cold water one more time and then let Teneriffe lace air dry. After the item has dried, check to make sure all of the sauce has been removed.
