Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean white cloth, blot up as much of the tomato sauce as possible. Do not rub, as this can spread stain to other areas. Don’t forget to check inside of the shorts as well!

Step 2: Pre-Treat the Stained Area

Spray a small amount of laundry pre-treatment solution on the stain. You can find this in most grocery stores. Let the pre-treatment sit for 5 minutes before moving on to the next step.

Step 3: Wash the Shorts

Wash the shorts on a warm setting with laundry detergent. Don’t forget to check the pockets and linings of the shorts as well. Once the cycle is finished, inspect the shorts for any remaining tomato sauce stains. If there are any, repeat Steps 1-3 again.

Step 4: Dry Shorts

Hang the shorts up to dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Do not put the shorts in the dryer, as this can set the stains and make them more difficult to remove.

With these four easy steps, you can have your swim trunks free from tomato sauce stains in no time!
