Removing Tomato Sauce Stains from Silk Chiffon

What You'll Need
- Lemon juice
- Dishwashing detergent
- Bucket or sink
- Cloth or sponge
Instructions
- Place the stained area of the silk chiffon over a bucket or sink.
- Blot stain with a cloth or sponge dampened with diluted lemon juice.
- Work from the outside of the stain towards the center to avoid spreading it further.
- Once the area is free of visible tomato sauce, use a small amount of dishwashing detergent mixed with lukewarm water to finish removing the stain.
- Rinse silk chiffon in cold water and air dry.
Additional Tips
- Do a spot test on an inconspicuous area of the silk chiffon before applying lemon juice treatment to the entire stain.
- Use white paper towels, cloths, and sponges to prevent bleeding of color onto the silk fabric.
- Let lemon juice sit for 10 minutes before blotting area.
