Tomato sauce is a beloved condiment, but unfortunately it doesn't do our clothing any favors. Spilling tomato sauce on your shirt can lead to stubborn stains that seem impossible to get out. But don't fret - with the right approach and a few household items, you can effectively get stain out and restore your garment back to its former glory.

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Tomato sauce is greasy, and the first step to removing it is getting rid of as much of the grease as possible. To do this, start by taking a cloth or paper towel and gently blotting the stain. Press down firmly, then lift and move the cloth or paper towel to a different area, repeating until you have absorbed as much of the grease and sauce as possible.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

Next, apply a bit of liquid detergent directly to the tomato sauce stain. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, and then use a damp washcloth to scrub the area. The detergent should help begin breaking stain down and lifting it out of the fabric.

Step 3: Wash and Dry

Once you've blotted and scrubbed the stain, it's time to throw the garment in the washing machine and let it do the rest of the work. Choose a cycle appropriate for your clothing item and use cold water and a mild laundry detergent. If the stain isn't fully gone after first wash, you will need to repeat process until it has been thoroughly removed. Lastly, tumble dry the item on low heat.

With these steps, you should be able to get almost any tomato sauce stain out of your clothing. Following this simple process will ensure your wardrobe stays stain-free and your garments remain in pristine condition.
