Step 1: Blotting Out the Stain

The first step in removing tomato sauce stains is to blot out as much of the moisture as possible using a paper towel or cloth. Keep blotting until no more liquid is absorbed. Do not rub or scrub the stain, as this will just spread it around and make the stain harder to remove.

Step 2: Soaking the Stain

Once you've blotted as much of the liquid as possible, it's time to soak the stain. This can be done with a mixture of warm water and enzyme-based detergent or dry-cleaning solvent. Once the stain is completely saturated, let it sit for 30 minutes. This will help to further break down stain before you move on to next step.

Step 3: Scrubbing the Stain

Once you've set stain with the solution, it's time to start scrubbing. Using a soft-bristled brush, gently scrub at the stain in a circular motion. You may need to repeat this process a few times before the stain is completely gone. If stain is still visible after scrubbing, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution.

Step 4: Laundering the Scrubs

Once stain is gone, it's time to launder the scrubs. Most scrubs are able to be machine-washed. If you opt to hand-wash them instead, make sure to rinse them thoroughly before hanging to dry. Do not put them in the dryer until you are certain that stain has been completely removed.
