Tomato sauce can be an absolute nightmare when it comes to cleaning. We all know that the longer the stain sits, the harder it is to remove. But there’s no need to worry those red splotches on your scarves any longer. Here’s how to easily clean away tomato sauce stains from your favorite scarf:

Step 1: Pre-treat the stain

Start by dabbing a little liquid detergent onto the stained portion of scarf, and then rub it in gently with your fingertips. Be careful not to scrub too hard, or the fabric could be damaged. Let this sit for 5 minutes before moving on to next step.

Step 2: Soak Fabric

Fill up a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a small amount of laundry detergent. Submerge the stained portion of the scarf into the water and let it soak for about 30 minutes. This will help to lift out the tomato sauce stains.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once the 30 minutes are up, it’s time to rinse the scarf with cold water. Then, transfer scarf to a clean dry towel and press it down until most of water has been absorbed. Finally, hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area.

And You’re Done!

Cleaning tomato sauce stains off your scarves doesn’t have to be a daunting task. By following these simple steps, you’ll have your scarf looking as good as new in no time at all!
