If you have leather Pumas, start by wiping away any excess sauce with a damp cloth. Then, dip a clean cloth into a mild solution of soap and water and scrub the stain with gentle circular motions. If that doesn’t work, try a commercial leather cleaner. Be sure to test it in an inconspicuous area first, as some leather cleaners can cause discoloration or damage.
If your Pumas are made from fabric, start by blotting stain with a dry cloth to remove any excess sauce. Then, mix a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid with a cup of warm water and, using a clean cloth, sponge the stain with the soapy solution. Rinse area and repeat as necessary. You may need to machine wash the shoes with a mild laundry detergent and cold water.
For both leather and fabric Pumas, it’s important to avoid using harsh chemicals like bleach as these can cause discoloration and weaken the material. Work slowly and be patient – it can take several attempts to successfully remove the stain.
