Step 1: Blot the Stain with a Clean Cloth
Start by blotting the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel. This will help to remove some of the excess moisture and prevent its spread. Be sure to use a light blotting motion as you do not want to spread the stain further.
Step 2: Prepare Stain-Removing Solution
Mix together a solution using two cups of warm water, two tablespoons of dishwashing liquid, and one tablespoon of white vinegar. Use a spoon or whisk to stir the mixture thoroughly until foamy.
Step 3: Apply the Solution to Stain
Using a clean rag, dab the solution onto the stained area. Allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing it into the fabric gently with a soft bristle brush. Be sure to work the solution back and forth in a circular motion to help lift the stain from the fibers.
Step 4: Rinse Away Excess Solution
Rinse away the solution with a damp cloth and fresh, clear water. Once the solution is completely removed from the furniture, be sure to dry it off completely with another clean cloth.
Step 5: Repeat if Necessary
If the stain remains after initial cleaning, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is completely removed. This may take several attempts, depending on the severity of stain.

To protect your outdoor furniture from future stains, consider applying a fabric protectant to deter spills from causing future damage. This will also help protect your furniture from fading and other damage caused by UV exposure.
