Steps for Removing Tomato Sauce Stains
- Begin by gently blotting the tomato sauce stain with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to remove as much of the excess sauce as possible.
- Mix a solution of one teaspoon of liquid detergent and two cups of cold water. Dip a sponge or soft brush into detergent solution and gently rub it onto the tomato sauce stain.
- Rinse the area with cold water and again use a dry cloth or paper towel to remove any remaining moisture.
- Apply a few drops of rubbing alcohol directly onto the stain and allow it to soak in for 10-15 minutes.
- If the stain is still visible, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 2 cups of lukewarm water and pour it onto the stain. Gently rub the mixture into fabric.
- Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water and then transfer the dress to the washing machine with other items of like color.
- Use the normal cycle and a mild detergent to finish cleaning the dress.
- Hang or lay the dress flat to air-dry.
