Supplies Needed
- Cold water
- Liquid detergent
- White vinegar
- Soft cloths or sponges
Steps for Removing Tomato Sauce Stains from Mesh Clothing
- Act fast and rinse cloth with cold water. Soak stained area in cold water for several minutes to remove as much of the tomato sauce as possible.
- Apply liquid detergent. Apply a small amount directly to stain and gently work into the fabric using a soft cloth or sponge.
- Rinse the stain thoroughly. Rinse the detergent and tomato sauce out with cool water until the water runs clear.
- Treat remaining stain with vinegar and water. Make a solution of equal parts vinegar and cold water then apply to the stain and work into the fabric.
- Wash in washing machine. Wash the item in the washing machine on gentle cycle with cold water.
- Check stain before drying. Check the stain to make sure it has been completely removed before putting the item in the dryer.
