Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and then apply it to the stains using a cloth. Do this until stain is completely gone. Rinse the kimono with lukewarm water to get rid of the vinegar smell, and then hang it up and let it dry.
This method basically has the same steps as white vinegar and water method. Mix 1 teaspoon ammonium hydroxide (ammonia) with 1 cup of warm water and pour the solution onto the stain. Use a clean cloth to rub the solution into the fabric until the stain is gone. Rinse kimono with cold water afterwards, and then let it hang to dry.
You can also use dishwashing detergent and warm water to tackle tomato sauce stains. Apply a small amount of dishwashing detergent directly to the stain and work in with a damp cloth. Repeat until stain disappears, and then rinse with cold water.
Mix ¼ cup of baking soda to one cup of warm water and stir until dissolved. When the mixture is ready, apply it to the stain using a cloth and rub gently until the spot is gone. Then, rinse the kimono with cold water.
In a bowl, mix 10 parts of warm water with 1 part rubbing alcohol. Soak a cloth in the solution and rub the stained area until the tomato sauce is no longer there. Again, rinse the kimono with cold water afterwards.
With these simple tips, you can safely and effectively remove tomato sauce stains from your kimono so you can wear it with pride at your upcoming event!
