Tomato sauce can leave a stubborn stain on clothing, especially when it comes to light-coloured fabrics like Fred Perry shirts. Thankfully, removing tomato sauce stains is possible with a few simple steps.

Gently blot the stained area with a clean, wet cloth to remove excess sauce. Keep blotting until the tomato sauce is mostly lifted out.
Mix two teaspoons of dishwashing liquid with one cup of warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and dab it onto the tomato sauce stain. Work inwards from the edge as much as possible, but do not rub or scrub the fabric. This can cause the stain to spread further.
Place the stained fabric into the washing machine and wash in cold water. Do not add any detergent yet as this could set the stain. Run the cycle and check the stain before adding laundry detergent.
If the stain remains, repeat steps 2 and 3 until the stain is gone. If the stain persists, try a pre-treatment solution or try adding a few drops of ammonia to bleach dispenser of your washing machine. Be sure to follow the instructions on the label.
