Step 1: Blot the Stain

First, start by blotting tomato sauce stain as soon as possible. Use a paper towel or white tissue, and press firmly on the stain to absorb as much of the sauce as possible. Don’t rub or scrub at the stain, otherwise you’ll cause it to spread.

Step 2: Pre-Treat With an Enzyme Cleaner

Enzyme cleaners like OxiClean or BioKleen are great for pre-treating tomato sauce stains on Fila fabrics. Soak the fabric in cold water and then add a teaspoon or two of enzyme cleaner. Let it sit for a half hour or more before washing.

Step 3: Wash in Hot Water

After pre-treating with enzyme cleaner, you can begin washing your Fila item in hot water. Use a mild laundry detergent and set your washing machine to its hottest setting. If the stain does not come out, you may want to repeat this step.

Step 4: Spot Treat With Bleach

If the stain is still present after washing in hot water, you can try spot treating it with bleach. Again, be sure to use a mild bleach and test a small piece of the fabric to make sure it won’t damage the material. If it’s safe, apply a few drops of bleach directly to the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before washing again.
